It is impossible to make sense of yesterday's tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary School. It's wrong to jump to conclusions and point fingers without all the details. It doesn't change anything and it helps no one. What we can do is work together to prevent incidents like these in the future. We can be a supportive community of individuals who genuinely care about others. We can donate to help the victims families (Sandy Hook School Support Fund). We can reach out a hand to help these families with their burdens, and we can make sure that we hold each victim's memory near to us so that their deaths are not in vain.

As a mother of two small children my heart aches for each mom that will not be kissing one of these beautiful victims again. I'm still trying to wrap my head around this senseless mess. I know I will never understand.

I will also never forget.
