Oh Tonia, you make my heart so happy! Just to hear you talk so passionately about this is so inspiring! You are so strong and I think it's wonderful that you opened up about it on your blog. I had never heard of it before I read your post. I am sure you will help so many other woman out there that are going through what you went through. I am so glad you are participating in this link up because I can learn so much from watching you and I am sure others can too! XOXO

I was wondering if you have this condition with one pregnancy does it mean you will definitely have it will all subsequent pregnancies? Also, you mentioned in the Vlog that it is known as a disease, but I thought it was considered more of a high risk side effect or condition of pregnancy rather than a disease? Please correct me if im wrong!
March 8, 2012 at 8:39 PMThanks for sharing your personal struggles. I wish you all the best if you consider another pregnancy!
Although every woman will not suffer from HG, many have had it several times (such as myself and my sister) and some women have had it with 3 or more pregnancies.
Hyperemesis does not discriminate.
For me, having baby #2 was a gamble. We hoped the odds were in our favor. They weren't. That's why baby #3 is such a painful topic. At this point I have to make a commitment to be sick for an extremely long time

Is surrogacy an option for you? I have a cousin who has a progressive disease and apparently pregnancy just exacerbates it, so her doctor suggested a surrogate to carry the baby for her. Just a thought.
