Kangaroo Care (skin-to-skin care): provides parents of premature infants a comfortable and developmentally supportive way to hold their babies. This method of holding promotes temperature regulation, improves oxygen and heart rates, emotional development, sensory development, and leads to better medical outcomes of the premature infant.

My first daughter, Isabella, was born at 33 weeks and was immediately taken to the NICU following her birth. I didn't get to hold her for several days.

I was devastated.

In my heart I felt like holding her would really make a big difference in her progress in the NICU. Eventually, I was able to hold her skin-on-skin for nursing. She fell in love with me!

Every mom and baby should be together from day one.
