Getting Kids Outdoors & Scott Naturals Giveaway (CLOSED)

The great outdoors is nature's playground.

It's FREE, it's FUN, and it's FOR EVERYONE!

Unfortunately, times have changed and people aren't getting out as much as they used to and it's affecting our kids.

FACT: The negative impact of decreased time outdoors includes a doubling of the childhood obesity rate.

This makes supporting the National Wildlife Federation so important. They encourage kids to....

"BE OUT THERE!"

"Some people say it takes a village to raise a child. We say it takes a backyard, a park, a playground."

I am now a follower.

I am really making an effort to unplug things that are not being used at the time, as they still use electricity.

I watched the video. Very cute! : )

It's been pretty easy to get my kids outdoors, after the long, cold, BORING, winter. Lately, I've just grabbed a pack of flower seeds, given them each an old spoon, and we have walked up our long driveway, planting flowers where ever the kids think they will look nice.

Give kids sidewalk chalk and let them make pictures on the driveway or sidewalk as an outdoor activity.
