It's Snack Time - Chocolate Covered Strawberries

Recently, we had the pleasure of welcoming Chef William Bednar, Executive Chef at the National Museum of American History, as a guest on "It's Snack Time!", and Isabella had a ball.

It was very exciting for her to welcome her first guest, but also to be able to create another delicious treat.
Making chocolate covered strawberries were by far one of her favorite fun snacks to create.

She couldn't wait to taste test them afterwards.

As a mom who is falling more in love with chocolate, I was really looking forward to the finished product myself!

Since this is a no-bake recipe and requires very little preparation, I would recommend creating this with kids of all ages. This recipe is very easy and quick. It's also a lot of fun!

You and your child will need:

  • Strawberries
  • Dark Chocolate Chips
  • White Chocolate Candy Pieces
  • Sandwich bags (optional for drizzling)
  • Scissors (optional for drizzling)

Now, let's get started:

Oh yeah, chocolate covered strawberries. My market recently had long-stemmed strawberries, which would be perfect for this.

I like the sandwich bags, give each kid their own and let them make squiggles on the berries.

Ooooo, long stem. Those would be nice to use. I made more of these strawberries and stuck a skewer in the top to dip them.
