Daddy, Can I have some Beer?

"Daddy, can I have some beer?"

"Uh, NO!"

"Mommy gives me beer all day!"

Ever been here and heard something like THIS? 

I was shocked when hubby told me about the conversation he had with Bella, our 4 year old, while I was napping.

I thought, "What?"

I couldn't make sense of a question like that from her. Obviously, it's not true. Toddlers are notorious liars, but we haven't really had that behavior creep into our home just yet. It will in time, I'm sure, but it's not one of our everyday battles. So I was definitely surprised. She was serious in her delivery.

Then, I thought, "ROOT BEER!"

Rewind the clock back a couple of hours and sure enough, earlier today when hubby was napping, I had given Bella a taste of the root beer that I was drinking.

BEER!

In her 4 year old mind. Mommy gave her some beer!

What a conversation I'm glad wasn't shared at church this morning.
