3/31/09 Tonia Update

Tonia's health has been declining again since Sunday.

Her doctor wants to admit her again this evening to get her more stable.

She is not well enough to be at home under the care of the nurses.

The nurses can only do so much and then it's out of their hands.

She hasn't eaten in two days and has continued to vomit involuntarily throughout today.

I'm sorry to bother you all with e-mails, but this is the best way I know keep you in the loop.

She'll be at Middle Tennessee Medical Center in Murfreesboro by this evening in order to get hydrated, get vitamins, and stabilize the vomiting.

Please continue to pray for her health and the health of the baby.

Thank you.

3/25/09 Tonia Update

Yes. Tonia was able to go home on Monday evening. She is at home today...

The doctor has her on complete bed-rest.

They are weaning her off of the steroid (that worked well in the hospital) each day for the next few days.

We hope to not see her condition worsen as she takes less of the medication.

I'll be in touch. Please forgive me if I am not communicating clearly.

I'm here physically, that's about all!

Please don't hesitate to ask and/or call me if you need clarification on something.

Thanks.

Sorry I Haven't Been In Touch

From: Tonia
To: My Sidelines Buddy

Thank you for your email and staying in touch. I'm sorry I haven't written. I have been in the hospital for 4 days. Not fun

I'm trying to hang in there as well as the family. It's been so hard.

I am 10 weeks and 3 days today.

3/25/09 Tonia Update

Please forgive me, I wasn't able to check e-mail like I thought I would be over the weekend.

Tonia would love for you to visit when you have the opportunity. I'll get with her and try and set up a time.

I'm in the office today. Tonia is doing "OK."

She is gradually being taken down from the steroids for the next few days. We hope this will not be too difficult for her.

She is on bed-rest until we can get her more stable. She has been doing better than last week, but still very sick and vomiting from time to time. But still, not like last week, which is a praise!

If you need me for anything, let me know.

Thank you.

3/22/09 Tonia Update

Tonia is still in the hospital.

She should be released on tomorrow, Monday.

She is doing much better with some other meds. I'll feel you in on details later on.

I plan on being back in the office on Tuesday and will get with you then. She's not 100 percent by any means, but she is quite improved from last Friday.

Praise God!

She has kept down liquids and soft food for two days!

I'll be in touch with you soon.

Thank you.

3/20/09 Tonia Update

I just spoke with Tonia's doctor.

He wants me to bring her to his office when I can today, the earlier the better, so they can get everything going with admitting her to MTMC again.

While I hate this idea, I'd rather her be under the care of the hospital than at home. I'll keep you informed.

I'm not sure how long she'll be in the hospital. I'll keep you posted.

Please continue to pray for her.

Thank you.

...Also, after (contacting) you yesterday, I contacted her doctor again. He increased her dosage of Zofran one last time.

He requested that I contact him by noon today if her health hadn't improved.

The next step is to re-admit her to the hospital this afternoon if there are not signs of improvement.

If she is admitted again, I'll let you know.

Thank you for praying.

Contacting My Sidelines Buddy

From: Tonia
To: My Sidelines Buddy

Hi Laura,

Thank you for emailing me. I am in such bad condition that I cannot really talk or even read. I am sensitive to everything.

I have a 2yo named Isabella.

I like Matria a lot, because I get to stay at home instead of at the hospital. The sight of people even makes me sick.

Currently, I vomit 5-9 times a day. It's taxing. I have the zofran pump in my leg, an IV in my arm, and a patch behind my ear. They're working to stabilize me now.

I'm so confused and sad these days, but I'm getting a lot of help.

I'm glad I can write to someone who understands.

Tonia

Subject: Volunteers become patients!

Hey Maggie,

I hope all is well. I'll need to be brief.

I am 8 5/7 weeks pregnant, on bed rest with HG and ptylism.

I received an IV and zofran pump last night from Matria.

I will need an email buddy, but at this time I cannot talk without getting sick.

Can you help me?

Tonia

3/2/09 Update

Tonia is at home sick. Please lift her up in your prayers.

She was in bed all weekend and is not doing well today.

This is par for the course from her pregnancy with Bella. But still, pray that it ends soon.

Thank you. Again, if I can assist in anyway, please let me know. I'll be in the office all day.
